About Me
Hello! My name is Jordan Sklar. I’m currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I study Life Sciences Communication with certificates in Digital Studies and Criminal Justice. My academic experience has allowed me to explore the intersection of science, communication, and society, and I’ve developed a strong interest in helping make complex information more accessible and meaningful for
different audiences.
Through my internships and coursework, I’ve gained experience in strategic communications, digital media, research, and project coordination. I’ve had the opportunity to work with organizations such as the UW-Madison Center for Law, Society & Justice and the national trade association, RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment), where I contributed to communications projects that involved translating complex research and policy topics into clear and engaging messaging.
I’m especially interested in the role communications can play in connecting people with important ideas in areas like science, healthcare, and public policy. I enjoy the process of researching, writing, and developing content that informs audiences and helps organizations tell meaningful stories.
As I prepare to graduate, I’m excited to continue exploring opportunities in communications, marketing, and public relations, where I can combine creativity, strategy, and storytelling to make a positive impact.
